From 2012 Medical coding Step by step... Excerpted from Chapter 30-1 #3
A 1 year old receives 2 vaccines after parent counseled: DT and IM injectable poliomyelitis. How to code the vaccines and administration? Does order of the vaccines matter?

This is answered in the May 2012 Medical Coding Certification Q and A Webinar. You need to code for both the "stick - or administration of the vaccine(s)" and the "stuff - the actual vaccine(s)".
